<br /> <br />P7o water inflow has been detected in the rock tunnels. <br />There has been no water discharge in 1985 from the mine <br />property under the NPDES permit. Diversion ditches and <br />sediment Pont A are completed and ready to handly spring <br />runoff. t:o gray water has been generated during the life <br />of the project. <br />3.4 Conclusions <br />Calculated water uses indicate that an insignificant <br />amount of cater :gas used in the 1985 mine construction. <br />If is estimated that 1112 acre-feet of water was actually <br />applied to the irrigated land and 3.1 acre-feet to the <br />mine construction. A total of 1687 acre-feet were divert- <br />ed into the Vulcan Ditch which appears to operate at about <br />a 66% efficiency. <br />No water inflow has occured in the rock tunnels. <br />t:o gray water has been generated and no discharge has <br />occured at any of the ttPDES discharge points. <br />3.5 L~7ater Richts <br />The water right No. t•7-2117, acquired by New Castle Energy <br />Corporation through a warranty deed on May 2, 1982 as part <br />of the purchase of the Duncan Ranch. The rights were <br />amended to include industrial and domestic use in addition <br />to the originally assigned use of agricultural irrigation. <br />Present rights are for 10 csf of which 440 acre-feet are <br />designated as shared absolute consumptive use. A total of <br />395 of the 440 acre-feet are designated for mining use <br />while 45 acre-feet are for use by the Riverbend Sub- <br />division. The remaining water is designated as absolute <br />floe through rights. <br /> <br />
