<br /> <br />2.3 Future Plans <br />As previously stated, the present operational sampling <br />frequency will continue through the mine development <br />stage. At the end of development, sampling frequency <br />will be reduced to quarterly field parameters and annual <br />:rater quality samples. <br />In addition to the wells described above, three wells in <br />the area of the proposed loadout facility were added to <br />the monitoring program in January, 1906 (0[:-15, 1G, <br />and 17). Also, the drinking :•rater supply for Riverbend <br />is being sampled at the NCEC house (C[d-18). Initial <br />data frem these :yells have been included in this report <br />for information purposes only. A full discussion of the <br />hydroceology of this area will be provided in the permit <br />application for the loadout facility and the 1986 annual <br />report. <br />3.0 Project [9ater Balance <br />3.1 Vulcan Ditch <br />Flow in the Vulcan Ditch began on April 10, 1985. There <br />::•as a ditch failure in South Canyon on June 13 and no <br />water floared until after it :ras repaired six weeks later. <br />[rater was again turned into the Vulcan Ditch around <br />August 2, 1985 an3 ran until November 33, 1985. Ditch <br />water was used for fill compaction on roads and facilities <br />pads during construction and for drilling in the rock <br />tunnel. <br />5 <br />
