No water has been observed in the piezometers to date, <br />indicating a tow or non-existent phereatic surface within the main embankment. The Division <br />will be notified if any water is detected. Details of the piezometer installations aze contained <br />' in Appendix B. <br />' Subgrade preparation and secondary clay liner placement and acceptance has progressed to <br />include 38.5 of the 57 acres which will be lined during this construction campaign. The limits <br />of completed liner bedding placement aze depicted on Figure 1. It should be noted that BMRI <br />has elected to complete the liner construction to the ultimate limits of the facility as will be <br />discussed in Section 4.2. <br />' ' Liner cover placement has progressed to include 24.5 of 57 acres. The limits of liner cover <br />' placed to date are depicted on Figure 1. Although this material has been placed by the <br />Earthwork Contractor, final conformance testing has not been performed and no liner cover has <br />~ received final acceptance. <br />3.2 Liner <br />' The synthetic liner contractor, 5errot Corporation, mobilized to the site on August 13, 1993. <br />' VLDPE liner deployment and seaming began on August 16, 1993. To date, liner deployment <br />and seaming has progressed to include 38.5 of 57 acres. All 38.5 acres of synthetic liner have <br />' been accepted by the Owner and the Engineer's on-site representative. The litruts of completed <br />and accepted VLDPE liner are also depicted on Figure 1. <br />4.0 FIELD MODIFICATIONS <br />' 4.1 General <br />As is common on most construction projects and provided for in Section 7.5 in the Earthwork <br />Specifications (Appendix F of the July 13, 1993 Phase II, Raise 1 Design Report) and Section <br />3.5 of the Liner Specifications (Appendix G of the July 13, 1993 Phase II, Raise 1 Design <br />Report), modifications and additions to the plans and specifications for the work have been <br />' required during the construction operations.
