<br />It does not appear that there is any correlation between the level in <br />the wells and seepage in the mine. It is anticipated that ground water levels <br />will be lower than normal this year due to the extremely dry conditions in <br />the area. It should also be noted that contour Strip Mines up dip from <br />the wells and a large Clay Pit adjacent to the Caldirola well have been <br />reclaimed. The reclamation work will reduce recharge of the aquifer in <br />question. <br />A summary of Water Quality Analysis for the Wells, a copy of the <br />Mine Map, Laboratory Test Results, and copies of the Discharge Monitoring <br />Report are enclosed. Please note that a significant change in the analysis <br />of Metals occurred in September, 1985.
