1
' NC/C - 1992 HYDROLO('Y RSPoRT Page I
' 1.0 INTRODIICTION
' 1.1 Report Contents
' NCIG's 1992 Annual Hydrologic Report contains information required
by Permit Stipulation No. 3, Coal Ridge No. 1 Mining and
' Reclamation Permit, File No. C-84-065. This report includes data
tables which include the baseline groundwater data, as well as data
collected during the operational period. Where appropriate, graphs
have been prepared from the data.
1.2 Activities iA 1992
' Since NCIG's temporary cessation of activity in spring of 1986,
there has not been any mining activity at the site. The partially
' completed mine portals remained sealed during all of 1992.
Despite the shut down of operations, the monitoring program was
' maintained during 1992 on a quarterly/annual basis, for field
parameters and lab analyses, respectively. The wells monitored
during 1992 reflect the changes in the monitoring system made by
MLRD in June, 1988.
On March 17, 1992, well OW-15 was installed downgradient of Pond A,
as per the Mined Land Reclamation letter dated January 30, 1992.
Well OW-15 was installed to replace OW-4L which was destroyed.
' Also during 1992, a permanent steel casing with locking cap was
installed on well OW-8.
1
' Nrlwd J.
