Input Structures The barrow ditch along the haul road, a
lateral above the haul road ditch and a separate, west
flowing ditch contribute water and sediment to the trap.
Where the barrow and lateral ditches join and enter the trap
from the south, a small alluvial fan has been deposited, a
deposit that poses no problem to the trap volume. Similarly,
the west flowing ditch has deposited alluvial debris at the
east side of the trap which is of no volumetric consequence
at this time.
Miscellaneous The addition of compacted material to the
embankment top has increased the vertical distance from the
bottom of the dewatering pipe to the embankment top by
approximately 0.5 foot. Thus the 2.8 foot vertical dimension
shown on cross section B on the "As Functioning Northwest
Sediment Trap" drawing dated 22June94 is increased to 3.3
feet. With this recent construction, the trap volume now
exceeds the design volume.
Respectfully submitted,
ene M. Shearer,P.E.
^'1~.:
,: j~':L~v :,~
_:,
~A, ~` J,+
