Located at the end point of S10°E pace-and-compass traverse described at 8 <br />and beginning point of 400 feet traverse S55°E to Location 10. <br />' • Located in the approximate center of longwall panel 14, 3,500 feet west of the east <br />boundary in an overburden about 2,100 feet thick. <br />1 • Point is located in colluvium and soil composed of silty to sandy clay, and covered with <br />grass, scrub oak brush, and other bushes. <br />Location 10. Located at top of the east ridge of West Flatiron S55°E of Location 9 above <br />the approximate center of longwall panel 14. <br />• Projected overburden thickness is 2,250 feet. <br />• colluvium and local soil consisting of silty to sandy clay are predominant. A few local <br />outcrops of fine to medium grained sandstones of the Ohio Creek Member of the <br />Mesaverde Formation were observed on traverse back to Location 8. <br />• Traverse back to Location 8 was N 8°E, 1,300 feet, thence roughly S80°E, 700 feet. <br />' Location I1. Located at Drill Hole 96-27-1 in silty to sandy colluvium and soil (see Map 1). <br />Point also is at Location 17 of September 17, 1999. <br />' • Projected overburden thickness to B-seam is 1,600 feet. <br />• Located about 1,000 feet east of the west boundary of longwall panel 14 in the <br />' approximate center of the panel. <br />• Traversed by ATV from Location 8 along the West Flatiron drill road to arrive at this <br />' point. Overburden thickness ranges from 2,000 feet at Location 8 to 1,600 feet at <br />Location 11. <br />• Traverse from Location 8 to Location 11 was in silty to sandy claystone of the Ohio <br />Creek. This is a pre-longwall mining traverse of panel 14. Only development mining is <br />complete in the tailgate entries (a total distance of 7,800 feet) and the headgate entries are <br />' developed a distance of 2,800 feet (as of August 29). <br />Location 12. Located at two small ponds at the two upper forks of Sylvester Gulch in soil, <br />' colluvium, and alluvium composed primarily of silt and clay. <br />• This is a pre-longwall mining ATV traverse above panel 14, and apre-mining traverse <br />above panel 15 by ATV along the drill road from Location 11.
