• magnitude. In these instances, settleable solids and pH limitations mist be
met. No samples were wllected during 1995 fmn these SAE points.
CO7-I, MEMBER OF MESA{fIItDE
well DH-65 is located in the East Roatcap (see Map No. 4-1) drainage and
overlies the 1st East Mains developed in 1994. This location was measured three
times for water levels during 1995 aryl found to exhibit water levels within the
normal range previously established for this site. Well DH-60 is also located
in the East Roatcap drainage and is located at the end of panel H. This well
has a 1,040' long tube in it to measure depth to water. This location was
measured three times for water level during 1995 and the water level was
apparently belay the tube during all rronitoring events.
Ot2iQ,USIONS
Hydrologyrronitoring was extended into the northern portion of the East Roatcap
Creek drainage during 1993 to aocormndate newly acquired lease areas and revised
mine plans. Mining during 1995 was confined to the western thick coal pod.
• Advance and retreat mining during 1995 was perforrted in Panel ZZ, Panel ZZ-1
North, a small panel between Panel Z and Panel A-A south of Panel ZZ and a small
panel south of the II Wiest Stiitmaina opposite Panel Z. Advance mining during
1995 was per-fonred in Panel X, 1st East, 2nd East and 3rd East. Hydrology
monitoring conducted during 1995 did not indicate mine related impacts were
occurring. The majority of rmnitored locations exhibited characteristics and
patterns similar to previously observed data. Water quality remains good
overall and no physical impacts have been noted at any of the rronitored
locations which would suggest adverse effects associated with mining operations
at the Bowie No. 1 Mine.
~•
8
