Permittee Name: Tectonic Construction Co. • Page 3
Permit No: M-84-099
Operation Name: Bailey Pit
Anniversary Date: 09 / 29 / 1995
(3) Mining will continue in the Lake #1 area silted in ,this year to
reestablish the lake as originally mined. We will return to
mining on the south lake area, completing the western side as we
pull back towards the conveyor terminal area. We expect to mine
12 .50 acres t this year in the north lake and part of the south
area colored yellow, if additional area is needed we will con-
tinue mining the area stripped (cross hatched) .
(4) Backfilling will continue in the CONSTRUCTED WETLANDS AREA. We
will complete mining the silted area in the north lake and cor-
rect the damage done in the lake area also. We will continue to
monitor the seeded area around Lake #1 and the west side of Lake
#2 . No other revegetation is required at this time. As in the
past, we will seed an area when the seedbed preparation is com-
plete and there is no danger it will be disturbed by operations
in the pit. Once we have finished mining along the river the
north shore slopes will be established and graded. The soil we
have stored along that aide will be use to resoil the slopes. We
planted 250 Cottonwood, 60 Russian Olives and 60 Wild Plum around
the north lake in the spring of 1992. These trees were bare root
stock obtained from the Forest Service. The only trees remaining
are a few of the Russian Olives that the beavers will not eat or
were not use for forage by small animals. We do not plan to
replanted until we can re-evaluate what steps we have to take to
protect them from wildlife damage.
(5) The current contact for pit is:
Mr. Winston Ferguson (303) 444-7444
Tectonic Construction Co.
12501 Weld County Road 13
Longmont, Co 80504
The effective date of all information in this report is September
1, 1995 .
