This report follows the <br />outlined requirements found in the Rules and Regulations of Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board, Section 2.4, covering annual reports. The permit for <br />the Lyons Quarry was issued on 6-4-78. <br />This report shows the areas reclaimed and the new areas opened up in the 1991- <br />92 reporting period. The areas outlined in red are the mining and stripping <br />areas which are considered major disturbance. The areas outlined in blue <br />represent stockpile and waste dump areas. The areas outlined in green are the <br />areas that have been reclaimed. The crass-hatched areas are areas where new <br />work was performed during this reporting period. <br />The mining and stripping areas which are considered major disturbance include; <br />(A) 49.1 acres in the east portion of the mine opened prior to 1973; (B) 2.3 <br />acres opened in 1977; (C) 7.4 acres opened in 1976; (AA) 8.2 acres opened in <br />1979; (BB) 11.0 acres opened in 1980; (EE) 5.9 acres opened in 1982; (KK) 1.2 <br />acres opened in 1985; (LL) 10.5 acres opened in 1985; (SS) 10.5 acres opened <br />in 1987; and (TT) 15.6 acres newly opened in 1988. All total, there are 127.7 <br />acres under major disturbance in the mining area. <br />The waste dump and stockpile areas include: (I) 4.6 acres which is a raw <br />material holding area; (J) 2.0 acres and (JJ) 5.4 acres which are also raw <br />1 <br />
