The inflow in entry #2 was estimated at just
under 1100 gpm initially and decreased to less than 500 gpm by June 25, 1996. Like the two
previous inflows, this inflow is also expected to diminish.
As entry #2 is a travelway and the water causes muddy conditions, Mountain Coal Company
(MCC) plans to set charges along the fault in the zero entry located down-dip of entry #2 in an
attempt to get the flows to move to that location. Inflows would then flow directly to the new
large sump and would not interfere with the mining operation.
Please contact me should you have questions.
Sincerely,
~ 2r~J-r~

Kathleen G.
