COLORADO 91302 <br />September 24, 1987 <br />TO: National King Coal <br /> <br />OFFICE 90! 37.0119 <br />RESIDENCE ]47-!9!0 <br />SUBJECT: Quarterly Subsidence Monitoring, Third Quarter 1987 <br />1) The third quarterly visual inspection for subsidence, King <br />Coal Mine, La Plata County, Colorado, was made on September 21, <br />1987. <br />2) Survey stations were monitored on the same date by Cecilia <br />Berry. A new survey monitoring point was established. <br />3) No new evidence of subsidence is apparent. <br />The surface area above both old and current workings was <br />inspected on September 21, 1987. The surface was inspected for <br />evidence of slump, subsidence, shearing, cracks in bedrock, <br />vegetation damage and water infiltration. No new evidence of <br />subsidence is apparent. Monitoring of survey stations also <br />showed no evidence of subsidence. The purpose of this inspection <br />was to meet requirements established by the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division for subsidence inspection and monitoring. <br />j ~~, <br />~ed M.
