Block 8: contains live-handled roto-cleared topsoil (1994) that was seeded in (1995). One repair has been made in this block since 1994: • 1997 -Repaired and reseeded gully on lower slope south of Downdrain 4. • No repairs have been needed in this block since 1997. ' Block 9: contains live-handled roto-cleared topsoil {1994) that was seeded in 1995. Two repairs have been made in this block since 1994: • 1996 -Repaired and reseeded gullies along the lower slope. ' • 1997 -Repaired and reseeded gullies on upper slope caused by runoff from work on Lower Moffat Road. • No repairs have been needed in this block since 1997. ' Block 10: contains stockpiled topsoil (1996) and was seeded in 1996. This block was also contour- furrowed. Four repairs have been made in this block since 1996: ' • 1997 -Repaired and reseeded several gullies at various locations in this block. Repair azeas included the following locations: the northwestern most edge; the central upper and lower portion of the block where gully drainage entered into the Moffat final pit drainage channel; along ' Downdrain 4; along the western edge of the reclaimed Middle Moffat Haul road in the vicinity of Downdrain 2; and, along the western edge of the reclaimed shoulder of the narrowed Lower Moffat Road. ' • 1998 -Repaired and reseeded gullies along hillslope that drains into the final pit drainage. • 1999 -Repaired sections of the Final Pit Downdrain and Downdrain 4. Roughed-up and seeded the ' new gully activity associated with the Final Pit Downdrain. Repaired gullies and installed contour furrows north of Final Pit Downdrain. • 2001 -Repaired gully from the Center Haul Road along the south side of the ridge to the Lower ' Moffat Road; along the south side of the Lower Moffat Road; adjacent to the Moffat Final Pit Segment 4 Ditch; and, adjacent to the Final Pit Segment 3 Ditch. • No repairs have been needed in this block since 2001. 3.2 West Midge Monitoring Blocks Nine (9) blocks have been inventoried for erosion features since 1995. The West Ridge terraces that make up these blocks aze performing as anticipated. Existing gullies located primazily on older non- topsoiled reclamation show no sign of activity and seem to be stabilizing with vegetation establishing along the sides and bottoms. A brief description of past repairs for each block is presented below. Block 1-6: Two repairs have been made since 1995. • 2002 -Repaired and seeded gully. • 2004 -Repaired terrace. Repaired and seeded gully. • No repairs have been needed in this block since 2004. Block 6-7: Three repairs have been made since 1995. • 1996 -Repaired gully. • 2002 -Repaired gully. • 2004 -Repaired terrace. Repaired and seeded gully. • No repairs have been needed in this block since 2004. 4
