Block 1: contains live-handled roto-cleazed topsoil (1992) that did not receive additional seeding as a test block for the reintroduction of native plant species on live-handled roto-cleared topsoil. Two minor repairs have been made in this block since 1992: • 1994 -Repaired single gully on northern portion of Block. • 1995 - Interseeded a portion of the northern section of Block. No repairs have been needed in this block since 1995. Block 2: contains live-handled roto-cleazed topsoil that was seeded in the spring of 1993. Three minor repairs have been made in this block since 1993: • 1995 -Repair gully and install matting at Downdrain 3. • 1998 - Downdrain 3 was reconstructed and riprapped. • 2002 - Downdrain 3 was reconstructed and riprapped. • No repairs have been needed in this block since 2002. Block 3: contains live-handled roto-cleazed topsoil (1993) that was seeded in the spring of 1994. One minor repair has been made in this block since 1993: • 1996 -Regraded lower slope area to blend into Lower Moffat Road and repaired gullies. • No repairs have been needed in this block since 1996. Block 4: contains live-handled roto-cleazed topsoil (1993), which was not seeded to further the trial area started with Block 1. Two minor repairs have been made in this block since 1993: • 1995 -Interseeded and livestock imprinted a portion of the block. • 1996 -Repaired gully and seeded on lower slopes where previous livestock imprinting efforts were considered insufficient. • No repairs have been needed in this block since 1996. Block 5: contains live-handled roto-cleared topsoil (1993) that was seeded in the spring of 1994. Three minor repairs have been made in this block since 1993: • 1995 -Repaired gullies in conjunction with construction of Downdrain 1. • 2001 -Repaired gully and seeded south of Moffat Downdrain 2. • 2004 -Repaired gully along lower and upper reaches of Downdrain 2 and east of Lower Moffat Road. • No repairs have been needed in this block since 2004. Block 6: contains live-handled roto-cleazed topsoil (1993) that was seeded in the spring of 1994. Four repairs have been made in this block since 1993: • 1996 -Repaired gully and reseeded on lower slope. • 1997 -Repaired gullies caused by runoff from work on Lower Moffat Road and reseeded on upper slope. • 2001 -Repaired gully repair and seeding south of Moffat Downdrain 1. • 2002 -Repaired and seeded gully on north facing slope. • No repairs have been needed in this block since 2002. Block 7: contains live-handled roto-cleared topsoil (1994) that was not seeded as part of the test practice employed in Blocks 1 and 4. One repair was made in this block since 1994: • 1995 -Repaired and reseeded gully on lower slope. • No repairs have been needed in this block since 1995.
