Results from the humidity cell testing on the quarterly composite samples for 1995 are
enclosed. First quarter, second quarter, and third quarter 1995 have been discontinued.
The fourth quarter is still going. The results show that samples do not go acid or leach
metals.
Sediment Samplers and Staff Gauges were replaced at the Rito Seco Stations again at all
six sites. They have been maintained and monitored weekly since. Beginning in April
through June they will be monitored and maintained daily. Just before winter several beavers made themselves
at home just above RS-1, RS-2, and RS-5. This caused flooding at these three staff
gauges. These staff gauges were maintained throughout the winter by using a pick ax to
break up the ice and keep it away from the staff gauges.
The tailings embankment piezometers have been checked and monitored monthly and no
problems have been detected.
