13.3.6.2 Fencin <br />13.3.6.2.1 The licensee shall fence and post the exclusion area boundary in <br />accordance with RH 4.11 of the Radiation Regulations. <br />13.3.6.3 Posting Exemption <br />The licensee is hereby exempted from the requirements ~f RH 4.11 <br />for areas within the exclusion area boundary, provided all <br />entrances to the property are conspicuously posted wits the <br />sign: "Any Area or Container on this Property May Contain <br />Radioactive Material." <br />13.3.6.4 Controlled Area Restrictions <br />The licensee shall not allow eating and smoking in controlled <br />areas, except in control rooms, offices, and lunchroom,>, or <br />other areas, designated by the Radiation Safety Officer. <br />13.3.6.5 Protective Clothing <br />Respirators, gloves, boots, coveralls, helmets, goggle;; and <br />other protective items shall be used at all times in areas or <br />activities where prescribed by the RSO or his designee.. <br />13.3.7 TRANSFER OF MATERIALS <br />13.3.7.1 Transfer of Contaminated Items <br />The licensee shall release radioactively contaminated equipment, <br />packages or materials from controlled areas for repair, reuse, <br />resale or disposal only after documented radioactive <br />decontamination meeting the requirements of Annex C. <br />13.4 INSPECTION AND MONITORING PROGRAM <br />13.4.1 RECORDS <br />The results of sampling, analyses, surveys, and instrument <br />calibrations, inspections and audits, employee training;, as well <br />as any related reviews, investigations, and corrective actions <br />shall be documented. All such documentation shall be retained <br />as required by Department policies or until other disposition is <br />authorized by the Department, but in no case less than five <br />years. Personnel exposure records shall be preserved <br />indefinitely. <br />-15- <br />
