Also mining will begin on that portion of land approved by the Board of County Commissioners on May 17, 1990. Mining will begin on tl~e central Nort}~ side and Northwesterly portion, and proceed South, West and East leaving that portion fronting Interstate 25 undisturbed until the last phase of mining and reclamation. The mining operation to be conducted will be a surface sand and gravel extraction operation. The operation will consist of stripping and stock- piling top soil; removing the sand and gravel; leveling the mined areas and re-vegetating in accordance with the enclosed reclamation plan. Access to the proposed area will be provided by existing haul roads already located within Midway Sand & Gravel, Inc. The haul roads will be extended as needed to the areas being mined. The haul roads will be properly maintained by Midway Sand & Gravel, Inc. during the life of the operation. The haul distance from the mining site to the scale is approximately 3/4 to 1} miles. To alleviate any dust problems on the access roads, truck speeds will be kept under fifteen miles per hour. All road surfaces are graveled. We will use a water truck with a spray bar to control any dust problem, in accordance with our existing mining plan. The mining equipment to be used is all portable, and will not require any public services such as water, electricity, or gas. AJ.1 corners of said property are marked with a steel stake and ribbon.
