Box t430 <br />Pelisetle, f:oloretlo 81528 <br />(30.3) 4647951 <br />Fex (3t)33) 484-7181 <br />Powderhorn Coal Company owns and operates the Roadside North and South Portals located in Debeque <br />Canyon approximately 3'h miles northeast of Palisade, Colorado. Operation of the mine is conducted in <br />acwrdance with provisions of our Mining and Reclamation Permit NO. C-81-041 and in accordance with Hiles <br />set forth in the Regulations of the Colorado Mine Land Reclamation Division. The initial approval date of this <br />permit was January 3, 1983, and has subsequently been renewed in 1988 and 1993. <br />This notice is to confirm and update previous information regarding underground mining under portions of <br />your property. <br />1. Mining location - Township 11 South, Ragge 98 West, 6th P.M. Section 02: A pazcel of land locatcd <br />in NW'k I.ot 03. <br />2. Date of mining activities that could cause subsidence and affect specific structures - Mining has <br />occurred under property idemified as currently being owned by you during a period from 1978 through <br />lanuary 1981. Subsidence has been detected on your surface. Continued subsidence affects aze <br />possible due to the nature of underground mining. <br />3. Measures tarn to ptcvent or control adverse surface affects -The roof control practice of leavirrg <br />paztial pillars has mimmi~ed the surface affects of subsidence. There werc no known structures <br />within the area listed in Item 1 that required any greater protection during the period [hat mining <br />occurred. <br />Further information on detail of mining locations and times are available at the mine site.
