Mined Land Reclamation
July 23, 1979
Page 3
4. Species of vegetation planted, the locations and approximate dates of
planting:
Species: 20% Rye, 5% Blue Grama, 75% Wheat Grass.
This mixture is being used on all the seeding areas (level surface area,
berms, and road backslopes.)
Approximate dates of planting:
October, 1978; April, 1979; and anticipated October, 1979.
5. No fertilizers required to date.
6. Appraisal of the success of reclamation efforts:
We feel our established seed areas are going to again be successful. We
have found that rolling or compacting the seed into the topsoil is
necessary to prevent wind loss and insure a higher rate of ground cover.
7. Estimate of the number of acres to be affected this coming year:
We anticipate two or three additional acres will be completed beginning
this fall season. These acres will 6e a continuation to the west from
the berm area on the extreme east end of the property. Hauling and level-
ing of the topsoil will again commence within the next few months prior to
seeding.
Also, please find enclosed our check in the amount of $350.00 to cover our open
mining operation annual fee.
Respectfully submitted,
ASPHALT PAVING CO.
~.~ ~ ~Zk~
Robert E.
