• Southfield's consumptive water use is estimated at AC-FT <br />for the period of this report. A summary of the mine's <br />consumptive use, listed by item and month, is presented on Table <br />7. In addition, consumptive use is diagrammed on Figure 2. <br />Consumptive use within the mine's water system, including the <br />preparation plant and sediment ponds, are calculated and shown on <br />Tables 5 and 6. <br />The mine's water balance is an estimate of input and output <br />water quantities within the water handling system. The mine wells <br />(North Entry and Corley) input a combined total of approximately <br />57.8 AC-FT to the system for the reporting period. Consumptive <br />use within the mine was approximately AC-FT, and water <br />discharged to the stream system was approximately 17.2 AC-Ft. The <br />above quantities indicate a reasonable balance of input, <br />consumptive and discharge water. Southfield's current water <br />monitoring program provides an adequate method for estimating <br />consumptive water use and water balance. <br />u <br /> <br />
