• 6.0 USE OF THIS REPORT
This report was prepared for the exclusive use of OXBOW and its consulting engineers for
specific application to the design of the site as it relates to the geotechnical aspects discussed
herein. The data and report should be provided to prospective contractors for their
information, but our report, conclusions, and interpretations should not be construed as a
warranty of actual subsurface conditions.
Within the limitations of scope, budget, and schedule, the analyses, conclusions, and
recommendations presented in this report were prepared in accordance with generally accepted
professional geotechnical engineering principals and practices. We make no other warranty,
either express or implied. These conclusions and recommendations were based on our
understanding of the project as described in this report and the site conditions as observed at
the time of our explorations. Unanticipated soil conditions are commonly encountered during
construction and cannot be fully determined by retrieving soil samples from explorations. Such
unexpected conditions sometimes require that addrtonal expense be made to attain aproperly-
constructed project. Therefore, some contingency fund in the project budget is recommended
to accommodate such potential extra costs.
If actual conditions appear to be different from those described in our report or if project
details change, WESTEC should review any change in conditions and design details to
determine the applicability of the conclusions and recommendations in this report. The
conclusions and recommendations contained in this report shall not be considered valid unless
the changes are reviewed by WESTEC and the conclusion of this report modified or verified
in writing.
u
96266/1424.RPT Coel Mine Weete Bank Dssign for the Sanborn Creek Mine
October 1999 WESTEC, Inc. 23
