Coal mining ceased in 1988 and all <br />stockpiled coal was removed by 1991. <br />Phase 2. <br />• <br />Phase 2 (transforming the site to accept fly ash) has also <br />been completed. A Pit and B Pit have been filed to five foot above <br />the re-established water table to accept ash disposal. They are <br />capable of receiving from 15 to 25 feet of ash and A Pit is <br />currently being used as ash disposal cell. <br />Phase 3. <br />Fhac~ 3 'r^_clamation ~t the site frcm a coal m~.ne to an as?~. <br />disposal facility) has, ir. CEC's opinion, also been completed as <br />follows: <br />1. Over 133 acres which were disturbed in connection <br />with the coal mine, but which will not be used in <br />connection with the ash disposal facility, have <br />been fully reclaimed and revegetated. (See <br />Attachment I). <br />2. The tipple is no longer used and will not be used. <br />It is sitting idle on the site awaiting sale. <br />' 3. The dragline is no longer used and will not be <br />used. It is sitting idle on the site awaiting <br />sale. <br />4. All temporary storage piles have been flattened to <br />• a 20$ slope or less. <br />5. All core sampling holes were plugged between 1980 <br />and 1985. <br /> <br />The following site conditions do not require and will not receive <br />reclamation at this time because such would be inconsistent with <br />the post-mining use of the property as an ash disposal facility: <br />
