The following is a summary of activities at BMRI's Sar. Luis
Project during 1992.
1992 Technical Revisions
The following is a brief summary of technical revisions
initiated during 1992.
TR-004 Cytox Detoxification
On April 7, the use of Cytox was approved as an emergency
cyanide detoxification method.
TR-005 Extended Cytox Detoxification
On May 1, the continued use of Cytox as an interim cyanide
detoxification method was approved. The approval stif~ulated
that evaluation of long-term detoxification methods m>v.st
continue.
TR-006 pA/OC Water Sampling Protocol Manual
On October 15, the water sampling manual was approved.
On June 12, the use of hydrogen peroxide as an interim
cyanide detoxification method was approved. Hydrogen
peroxide treatment was started on June 15.
TR-008 Ground Water Monitoring Plan
Two additional ground water monitoring wells, M-12 anc. M-13,
were installed in July. DMG continues to review TR-0C8.
TR-009 Surface and Ground Water Containment Plan
on November 24, the surface and ground water containmE~nt
plan was approved contingent upon the approval of TR-COB.
