On May 1R,
1.994 a small dozer was used for 5 hours to totally harkfill and contour the site.
Reseeded at a later date and yielded a totally reclaimed area of 7O' Y, 70' _
43560
~ •-
' -
4,900 sq. ft. or 0.113 acre.
Activity at (O.E.) no. 2 required 5 hours of small dozer time on May 18, 1994.
Only hand digging of exposed leads and pockets was done until August 5, 1994 when
a small backhoe was used for 3 hours to remove excess muck from hand digging. The
.backhoe work revealed more leads and pockets and hand digging resumed until
September 2fi, 1994 when the backhoe returned for another three hours to clean out
hole so more recovery of values could be obtained by hand digging. This site is
productive and will he mined in 1995.
Activity at (O. E.) nn. 5 On May 19, 1994 a small dozer. was used for 5 hours to
scrape-scratch out the bottom of the hole enough to be able to remove Some values.
Increased average depth about 4 feet bringing averat9e depth to approx. 10 feet at
bottom of hole. Hard rock will have to be drilled and blasted.. ,-This site is
qroductive and will be mined in 1995.
•Activity at (O. E.) no. 9 August 5, 1994 a small backhoe was used for 3 hours to -'
deepen hole from 4 feet to 10 feet at northwesteriy~end of ,ho le. ~Encount~red few
values in hard rock. Will not pursue values at.tfris sits. Expect to:com~letel,~
reclaim this site in 1995.
Activity at (O.E.) no. 11 On P.ugust 5, 1994 a sma]1 backhoe was used for 3 hours
to open hole for approximately another ZO feet to the west at same to less depth.
Values were encountered but are lacking in quality for good sale values. Expect
to completely reclaim this site in 1995 but reserve possibility of re-opening
this site at some later date.
P.t the beginning of the 1994 mining season there was a total of 1.400 acres of
open excavations. This total was reduced by 0.112 acre when (O.E.) no. 4 on
Mining Parcel No. 3 was completely reclaimed which will result in a total of
1.288 acres of open excavations at the beginning of the 1995 mining season.
The assessment-exploration-mining. work indicated above did not increase the
impact nn the surface areas and resulted only in the existing excavations being
dug out a little deeper.
In order to satisfy requirements related to "Storm Water Management Plan"
(Permit No. COG 500808 issued by Colorado State Water Quality Control Division)
it is necessary for the (Owr-Opr) to adequately construct berms across storm-
water run-off outfall points at existing open excavations. This is being
accomplished wkrerever applicable as work continues. (See attached SWMP report
sheet on the State's own foremat.)
No structures of any kind have been erected on any of the "Mining Parcels"
under this "Operation".
I hope this report is satisfactory and easy to understand.
contact me at the address or telephone number shown above.
If not, please
~~
t,,
. -J
_.~a. _ _ _,._
f... ,h:.
