•
AREA NORTH OF SHOP: Although still very young, germination and intial
growth has been strong over most of the area. Unfortunately,
precipitation patterns have not been favorable and if it continues the
dry pattern that has been seen throughout southeastern Colorado in the
first third of 1986, the vegetation may suffer.
RULE 2.41(7): ESTIMATES OF THE LOCATION AND NUMBER OF ACRES TO BE
AFFECTED IN THE COMING YEAR.
Extraction will expand further in the Tract AB area. A small
amount of mining still remains in Tract AA, but it is very minor. It is
possible that mining will begin in some portions of Tract AC, but the
urgent need for this has not developed as it was anticipated.
Therefore, eventhough there was a phase/timetable change to allow mining
in this area, such has not developed.
MAP: A map is included which shows the areas where the previously
discussed items can be found as well as an indication of where mining
will proceed in the next year.
Page 4 of 4 Permit 77-211 Pikeview Quarry 1986 Annual Report
