Box 105
Florence, Colorado 81226
RE: Annual Report 6 Fees
Our File #77-319, Swallow Mine
Dear Afs. Steiner:
Please find enclosed a receipt for your payment of four years Annual Fees
($200.00) for the above referenced mining operation. The statement you
provided in the way of an Annual Report is not adequate to satisfactorily
update your permit file. The law requires that you submit ". . .a reclamation
plan and map showing the affected land and other pertinent details. . . ". This
map should show the areas in which mining has been completed, mining is I
presently taking place, and mining will probably occur during the next year.
Roads, stockpiles, processing equipment, offices, and other mining related
facilities should be shown. The reclamation plan should describe the efforts
that have been made to reclaim areas where mining has been completed, the
amount of topsoil that has been stockpiled, and the feasibility of performing
the approved reclamation plan. In addition, if any changes in the mining
plan have been or will be necessary, please describe these changes.
It is our intention to inspect all the mines in Fremont County in the very
near future and we are anxious to see how you are doing and to provide
whatever assistance is possible. If I can be of help to you, please feel
free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Peter 11. Evans
Reclamation Specialist
PHE:ys
Enclosure
