At times we receive great amounts of run-off, so much in fact that
at times the 36 inch county culvert can not handle the flow. The
Orion Pit would create a great erosion problem.
A gravel pit on the proposed site will without a doubt greatly
affect our fishery. This property is unique and special not only
because of our fish operation but it is also a wildlife refuge.
Throughout the year we have many different species of water fowl
that seek refuge here. The Department of Wildlife gathers and tags
Canadian geese every spring on our ponds.
The Orion Pit would endanger the aquaculture and wildlife habitat
of this property, and this is why we oppose their application.
Sincerely,
d°
Bill & Carrie Baikie
0019?
