<br />Rule 2.41(7): The number of acres to be affected this next <br />year and their location will be essentially the same as this <br />year. Tract C may expand perhaps 2 acres in the direction <br />of the canyon. With reclamation probably to be done on the <br />Tract A-1 road area, this area will be reduced by a couple <br />of acres. <br />The only changes that may occur would be an alteration <br />in Tract boundaries or mining timetable to allow the extraction <br />of some redrock in the northern part of Tract A. Also, if <br />approval can be obtained for mining the limestone fin in the <br />Wilson Land Development Co. area there would be an increase <br />in extraction land of about 2 to 3 acres. If the new access <br />road is built then this would be new acreage not previously <br />affected, but this would be balanced in large part or totally <br />by the removal of existing access and assumption of that <br />area as part of a land development project to the east of <br />the quarry. <br />On the whole, therefore, the total affected land would <br />increase, at the most, to 50 acres and most of this increase <br />would be in areas that have already been disturbed by previous <br />mining. <br />General Appraisal of Permit Compliance - In the opinion of <br />Castle Concrete Company, the Pikeview Quarry is in compliance <br />with the permit.
