.,
Perrnittee: WHITEWATER BUILDING MATERIALS CORP. PAGE 3
Permit #: M-77-129
Operation Name: WHITEWATER 500 PIT
Anniversary Date: 09I22I0
As noted last year the Federal Government is attempting to
acquire this area and wants to breach the river bank in the
sluff area. They have requested we hold off stabilizing this
area until they acquire the site. In additions to the seeding
we planted 50 golden willow and 40 cottonwood along the west
side of the lake.
(3) We will begin to mine on 1.81 acres t in Stage 2 this year and
on the 0.61 acres t stripped in Stage E (purple). If more
area is needed, we will resume stripping toward the northeast
side of Stage 2 and move into Stage E. We will continue to
stockpile growth medium along the perimeters of the mined
area, so sloping can be done when mining ends.
(4) Remedial work remains on the slump area shown on the Map 2 of
2 (tan). We are still awaiting word from the landowners
regarding the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service purchase plan, we
expect this to be complete before the first of the year. weed
control will continue next year as needed. Bank sloping and
grading will continue in Stage 2, once mining is completed on
the shore line that will not be disturbed in the future. The
material to complete the sloping is in place (green cross
hatch), so only shaping is needed to complete them. We will
monitor the seeded areas next year and plant additional trees
around Phase 1 as required in the approved plan.
(5) The current contact for this pit is:
Mr. Edward Gardner (970) 242-7538
Whitewater Building Materials Corp. Enclosed is the Annual
Report Maps and a check for $688.00 to cover the Annual Fee. The
certified return receipt will serve as purpose that the Division
received this report and attachments.
Respectfully Submitted
WHITEWATER BUILDING MAT/E~RIALS CORP.
~~ ita ~~'~~>i~xsr/
Edward M.
