The company has always had an open door communication program <br />with local and state government governments and environmental groups. <br />The company plans to establish and oversight review board from a <br />number of outside groups to monitor the progress of the new mine. <br />The company has never had any adversarial groups appose its highly <br />respected operations at Caribou. The company looks forward toward <br />working with responsible environmental groups to reach common <br />ground. <br />13.7'hc economic impact from the clean/safe future small mine at <br />Caribou would be positive for the local community, Boulder County and <br />the State. Calais currently employs nine full time Colorado residents. <br />The new mine operation could well employ 75 full time local employees, <br />making Calais one of the largest employers in the local community. "1'he <br />turn over of dollars in the Nederland area along with production taxes <br />and supply revenues would have a positive economic impact. <br />l~t. Existing electric power to the Caribou District mines make required <br />energy use clean. Existing, well maintained County roads to the mine <br />sites make transportation simple. The ore to concentrate ratio of 25 to I <br />keep truck traffic to a bare minimum and have a little impact on the <br />road to the mine. Caribou ores separate and make a clean concentrate <br />with simple flotation using minimal amounts of organic reagents pine oil <br />and xanthatc.'1'hc ores are not able to be milled with the use of cyanide <br />
