<br /> <br /> <br />ADDENDUM 1 <br />Contract 22396-00472aoc-019 <br />The following addendum shall included into the Contract Documents associated with Contract <br />Number 22396-004-72XX-019 (note: modifications will be in bold underlined italics). <br />1) Replace item 2.4.A located in Section 6.0 of the Specifications, Subsection 02200, page <br />6-6 with the following: <br />A. Cement-grout shall consist of a commercially available sand and cement mixture <br />with a minimum compressive strength of 4.000 nsi at 28 days. <br />2) Replace item 3.3.B.31ocated in Section 6.0 of the Specifications, Subsection 02200, page <br />6-8 with the following: <br />3. Alternatively, where acceptable rock is not available, or where directed by the <br />RESIDENT PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE, asoil-cement mixture may be used. <br />The soil cement will consist of on-site soil and portland cement in a ratio of 20:1 <br />(20 units of soil to 1 unit of cement). The on-site materials used as fill must be <br />well-graded, and approved by the RESIDENT PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE. <br />Thev may not be acidic or toxic in nature. Soil materials and portland cement <br />shall be thoroughly blended by mechanical means prior to placement. This may <br />be done by machine or by hand. The entire length of the backfill except for the <br />last 3 feet shall be composed of soil-cement materials. The last 3 feet shall be <br />composed of backfill materials suitable for plant growth. <br />3) Replace item 3.3.C.21ocated in Section 6.0 of the Specifications, Subsection 02200, page <br />6-9 with the following: <br />2. Concrete shall be proportioned and mixed to produce a minimum compressive <br />strength of 4.000 nsi at 28 days. <br />4) Replace item 3.S.D.1 located in Section 6.0 of the Specifications, Subsection 02200, <br />page 6-12 with the following: <br />1. Cast-in-place concrete bulkhead shall have a minimum thickness of 24 inches or <br />as directed by the RESIDENT PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE. <br />
