1 attention in writing to any revisions other than the corrections called for by CONTRACTOR on previous SUBCONTRACTOR submittals. ' GC-22.0 CONTRACTOR APPROVAL OF SUBMITTALS CONTRACTOR will review and take action on SUBCONTRACTOR submittals with reasonable promptness. CONTRACTOR'S review and approval will be only for conformance with the CONTRACTOR'S design concept for the compliance with the information given in the ' CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. CONTRACTOR'S review and approval shall not extend to means, methods, techniques, sequences or procedures of construction (except where a specified ' means, method, technique, sequence or procedure of construction is required by the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS). CONTRACTOR'S approval shall in no way relieve the SUBCONTRACTOR from responsibility for errors or omissions in the submittal. Further, ' CONTRACTOR'S review and approval shall not release SUBCONTRACTOR from responsibility for having complied with all requirements of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, unless SUBCONTRACTOR has given CONTRACTOR specific written notice (by specific notation on the submittal) of any variation in the submittal from the CONTRACT DOCiJMEIV'TS, and CONTRACTOR has specifically approved the variation by notation on the approval of the submittal. GC-23.0 SUBCONTRACTOR'S PLANT. EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES SUBCONTRACTOR shall provide all plant and equipment required to complete the WORK in accordance with the schedule. Prior to proceeding with erection of any temporary facilities, SUBCONTRACTOR shall furnish appropriate information and receive CONTRACTOR'S ' approval. Unsatisfactory plant and equipment shall be removed from the SITE as directed by the CONTRACTOR. Otherwise, SUBCONTRACTOR shall not remove construction plant or equipment from the SITE before FINAL ACCEPTANCE of the WORK without ' CONTRACTOR'S written approval. CONTRACTOR shall not unreasonably withhold approval. GC-24.0 MAINTENANCE AND PROTECTION OF WORK AND PROPERTY SUBCONTRACTOR shall perform all WORK in a manner causing the least possible obstruction or damage to public and private roads and properties. SUBCONTRACTOR shall preserve and protect all vegetation on or adjacent to the SITE which does not um~easonably interfere with the performance of the WORK. SUBCONTRACTOR shall maintain adequate protection of its WORK from damage or loss and shall keep all property of CONTRACTOR, COMPANY and other contractors free from unnecessary obstruction, damage or loss attributable to its operations. Throughout the progress of its WORK, SUBCONTRACTOR shall provide and maintain all protective measures required by any applicable regulations and prevailing conditions. In the event of loss or damage, which arises in whole or in part from SUBCONTRACTOR'S acts or omissions, SUBCONTRACTOR shall be responsible for its repair and shall complete the WORK. Such repairs and completion of the WORK shall be performed as WORK under this CONTRACT without additional compensation. 3-9
