In order to <br />facilitate your revision I've presented the MLRD comment followed by CYCC's <br />response. <br />MLRD COMMENT: <br />Alluvial Wells <br />I/ 1. CYCC did not collect a full suite water quality sample for the third <br />quarter period at alluvial wells 006-AW-2 and 005-AZ-3. We understand <br />that the sites were frozen during April; however, this did not preclude <br />sampling during May or June. Please explain this omission. <br />RESPONSE: <br />The field samples for the above referenced wells were obtained for the third <br />quarter, but samples were not obtained fur full suite analysis. I do not <br />know why the samples were missed, the monitoring schedule had been <br />established and was not followed. The person who was responsible for the <br />sampling is no longer employed by Cyprus, therefore, I can not question him <br />to determine the reason for failing to fulfill the sampling requirement. <br />The monitoring commitments have been reviewed by the current staff so that <br />his situation should not arise in the future. <br />MLRD COMMENT: <br />/Spoil Wells <br />Only one of the two required full suite samples was collected at spoil well <br />026-SP-3. Please explain this omission. <br />RESPONSE: <br />This well is a low producer and a sufficient quantity of water was not <br />available for analysis. This will continue to be an ongoing occurrance if <br />sufficient water is not available in the well. <br />c~rp~us <br />
