Drawer D
Hayden, CO. 81639
RE: 1995 Annual Hydrology Report Review
Seneca II Mine
>¢C-80-005
Dear Mr. Jones:
~~
DEPARTMENT OF
NATURAL
RESOURCES
Ray Romer
Governor
lames S. Lochhead
6ecmrve Director
Michael B. Long
Division Director
The Division has completed review of the 1995 Annual Hydrology
Report (AHR) for the Seneca II mine. Please respond to each item
as appropriate.
General Comments
1. The reporting format used by the operator is very good.
Tables and graphs presented were clear and were generally
concise and accurate.
2. Table 9 information was interupted by Table 10.
3. Presently, the monitoring program as specified in the permit
is scattered throughout a portion of the permit text via
narrative and various tables. At the next mid-term or permit
renewal, the operator should include the monitoring program in
a table which clearly represents the currently approved
monitoring program.
4. Also, Exhibit 7-2 (map), Hydrology Monitoring Site Location
Map should be corrected at the next opportunity. The
following problems were noted on the map.
a) GW-57WC0 needs a geologic symbol representing completion
interval.
b) GW-S40-W, GW-540-LWI, GW-S45-U, GW-S45P1-WC are denoted
on the map as removed by mining but Table 7-81 remarks do
not indicate removed by mining. Is this accurate?
