The June 29`h tailing impoundment
piezometer measurements identified these installations were either dry or contained less
than 12 inches of water as illustrated in Table 2. Tables 1 and 2 below identify the depth
to water measurements collected for each of the site monitoring wells, piezome[ers and
lysimeters as required by the terms and conditions of the TR-15 QA/QC plan.
Implementation of the TR-32 depth of water monitoring will be initiated July ls`
The tailing impoundment collection pond underdrain flow was pumped internuttently
during the month to minimize the collection pond level. The leak detection system was
measured on June 29`h. The June collection pond underdrain flow average was 44.62
gpm and a total of 570 gallons of water was excavated from the leak detection system
yielding a monthly average of 19.65 gpad.
During June, the West Pit water treatment plant operated efficiently discharging a total of
10,441,900 gallons (32.05 acre-feet) of water to Rito Seco Creek, a total of 978,300
gallons (3.00 acre-feet) of water was transferred from the water treatment plant to the
tailing impoundment, and seepage along Rito Seco Creek remained dry.
Table 1-June 2003 Ground Water Monitoring Well and Lysimeter Depth to Water
Measurements
Monitorin Site Date De th to Water (feet)
M-1 6/30/03 74.11
M-10 6/30/03 25.68
M-11 6/30/03 36.39
M-11R 6/30/03 44.44
M-16 6/30/03 22.39
M-17 6/30/03 32.65
M-18 6/30/03 27.52
M-19 6130/03 24.62
M-20 6/30/03 25.75
M-21 6/30/03 18.43
M-22 6/30/03 16.84
M-23 6/30/03 44.87
M-24 6/30/03 26.54
M-25 6/30/03 D
M-26 6/30/03 17.37
M-27 6/30/03 Dr
