1993 Annual Reclamation Report <br />Raton Creek Mine <br />Introduction <br />The 1993 Annual Reclamation Report documents all permanent reclamation activities at Energy Fuels <br />Mining Company's (EFMC) Raton Creek Mine during the 1993 calendar year. The Raton Creek Mine <br />was in Permanent Cessation -Reclamation status far the entire period of this report. This report includes <br />text, discussion, and a map in accordance with the requirements of Rule 2.04.13. ~, <br />Disturbance Areas I <br />'I <br />No additional area was disturbed during the reporting period. <br />Backfilled and Graded Areas <br />Backfilling and grading operations proceeded at the Mine Site and the Santa Fe No. I and No.; 2 <br />loadouts through the end of the reporting period. The extent of reclamation completed is described !in <br />detail below. <br />1. Santa Fe Loadout: Reclamation of the Santa Fe loadout sites consisted of removal of coal handling <br />equipment, regmding, and establishing dminage controls in accordance with the permit application. Santa <br />Fe loadout site reclamation proceeded to reestablish the sites to the approved post-mining use; iof <br />industrial/ coal loading. EFMC worked closely with the Santa Fe Railway Company and the DMG <br />towards returning the sites to a productive post-mining use. <br />~ ~ <br />,i <br />The post-mining configuration of the sites is shown on attached 1993 Annual Reclamation Map,'SF <br />Loadout Sites. ' <br />I <br />Site regrading involved removal of overburden material to achieve drainage control. Following remo lal <br />of structures, all coal-laded material on the surface was windrowed and hauled to the Mine Site for <br />disposal. Remaining overburden material was regraded, filling the sumps, and hauled off-site. <br />Approximately 2000 ccy of the above materials were removed to achieve final approximate original <br />contour. The area backfilled and graded, which included the entire surface of both loadout sites, totalled <br />3.32 acres. Finally, berms and sediment fences were installed to control surface runoff as shown on'the <br />above referenced map. <br />Final reclamation activities at the Santa Fe loadout sites following the period of this report will include: <br />I <br />Removal of car-puller concrete pad <br />Removal, or approved retention of power pole <br />Removal of any concrete w/rebar near surface <br />Removal of drainage controls following bond release <br /> <br />
