Banks and Gesso, LLC
Reclamation Plan
The post-mining land use for the Stagecoach Mine will be for a lined water-
storage reservoir, with surrounding riverside areas producing beneficial wildlife
habitat.
Reclamation Process
Land disturbance on the permit area will begin with removal and stockpiling of
topsoil with a scraper prior to mining. Total disturbed areas (the affected area)
can be seen on F~chibit C-3, Mining Plan Map. Topsoil will be utilized for future
surface reclamation as plant-growth medium in areas not permanently covered
by water.
Reveaetation
All surface areas disturbed by mining activities will be top soiled and drill-seeded
for final reclamation with the seed mixes shown in Table A. This seed mix has
been developed based on correspondence between the United States
Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Division of Minerals and Geology,
who specfied this mix for this site during the DMG permitting process.
Recommendations given by the USDA will be followed with regard to the method
of seeding, seeding dates, fertilization, and follow-up maintenance for weed
control by mowing. Mowing will be performed for at least two years after seeding
to help establish regenerating stands of grasses and to control weed infestation.
Since no large areas will be exposed to wind or rain erosion, seeded areas will
not be mulched with straw or hay.
The north, east and south perimeters of the site will also be landscaped with
deciduous and evergreen trees and shrubs. The screening berm constructed
during the mining operations will be removed and replaced with a 36-foot wide
level landscaped buffer strip. The removal of the berm will allow for the
preservation of open views across the site. Table B contains the tree and shrub
species proposed for the landscape buffer.
Adams County-CUP, Razonlny, Flnal Plat Stepecoach MIna.01045
Mablb Pmmk Conaeta, Inc.
