RESULTS
In evaluating field tests and water analysis reports, it should be
noted that ground water monitoring point AA1 is located above the
mine property and point AA3 is located just below the mine
property. Since nearly all the test data was up at monitoring
point AA1, it is reasonable that test data at AA3 was also up.
~'S ~~ YG~
Although ground water test data is elevated over the previous year, to ~o~~
it appears it was not due to conditions associated with the mining
operations at the Bear Number 3 Mine. Therefore, mining operations .E'lti'•( "?'"
at the Bear Number 3 Mine had no apparent adverse effects on the ~t :~_~?S
water in the North Fork of the Gunnison River. ~ Ep
v'~
WATER CONSUMPTION `~`y~~
o f~:~.F
During the course of 1992, Bear #3 Mine consumed approximately
5,027,000 gallons of water far underground dust suppression,
960,000 gallons on surface dust suppression and 54,000 gallons on
office and showers.
There was no discharge from the Bear #3 Mine during the year of
1992.
