• • Serviceberry survival was 57% and 79% in 1995 and 1996 plots respectively. As with <br />Chokecherry, poor growth was exhibited as a result of continuous browse damage. Root <br />systems did exhibit substantial growth. Intensive browse control efforts need to be <br />initiated in order to allow for re-establishment of this species. <br />• Quaking Aspen, Wood's Rose, and Mountain Snowberry survival was 73%, 39%, and <br />45% respectively after the first year of monitoring. There is no appazent reason for the <br />relatively low survival of Wood's Rose and Mountain Snowberry.
