B1 runs along the southeast border of the unit and is marked with aluminum tags
on metal boundary posts (B°i B45). Transects are perpendicular and located at 0, 15, 30, and 45 meters. B2 is also located along the
southeast border of the unit and is marked with aluminum tags on metal boundary posts (B°, B45). Transects aze perpendiculaz and
located at 0, 15, 30, and 45 meters. Endpoints of the tansects are marked with wooden stakes.
Herbaceous Cover: Grass = 3.9% coverage. Forb = 18.8% coverage. Canada Thistle is the dominant cover on this site.
Comments: Survival of Serviceberry, Chokecherry, and Gambel's Oak is generally excellent on the site. Wood's Rose and Mountain
Snowberry suffered substantial mortality. The reason for this is unclear. Browse damage was observed on 65% of the plants and can
be expected to increase mortality during the next yeaz.
13
