1 <br />' 1.4 Applicable Codes and Regulations <br />' The work shall conform to applicable federal, state, county, and local regulations. Test <br />procedures shall conform to applicable ASTM standards, as documented in the edition of the <br />' standards in force at the start of work. <br />' 2.0 SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />2.1 Contractor's Responsibility <br />' The Contractor shall examine these Specifications and Drawings to be awaze of all conditions <br />at the site affecting execution of the work. These conditions include, but aze not limited to: <br />' • Selective borrowing from approved material stockpiles and within approved borrow <br />areas; <br />' Applicable safety and health regulations; <br />• Transportation and access conditions; <br />• Availability of utilities; <br />' • Subsoil conditions including trafficability of the tailings beach azea; <br />• Location, availability, and condition of constriction materials; <br />• Location, condition and protection of existing impoundment liner and drainage blanket; <br />' ~ Climate and construction conditions at the site; <br />• Dust abatement requirements; and <br />' • Water source required for construction. <br />2.2 Mobilization <br />t Upon receipt of the notice to proceed, the Contractor shall furnish, mobilize, and install such <br />' temporary works, materials, equipment, and construction facilities as are necessary for the <br />successful completion of the work. The Contractor shall also operate and maintain such <br />temporary works, equipment, and construction facilities throughout the period of construction. <br />t All temporary works, such as sanitation facilities, shall fully comply with the applicable rules <br />and regulations of the governing authorities. <br />The Contractor shall obtain all necessary permits and permissions to utilize roads for <br />mobilization, demobilization, and access to the site. Access to the site is available by using <br />' existing public roads and Owner's roads. <br />' -3- <br />1 <br />
