We continued to mine by dredge this year in <br />Stage One, in the area previously cleared of overburden, as shown in the original <br />application. Our reclamation plan calls for Phase II to begin in 1982. A drip irri- <br />gation system was installed this year along the west and south side of the property <br />(also shown on attached map). <br />Reference is made to MLRB Rules & Regulations, effective July 1978, Section 2.40. <br />2.41 (1) No new acreage was affected this year. (see enclosed map.) <br />(2) No reclamation in 1979 required under approved application. <br />(3) Planted .trees on another 4,200 sq.ft. See enclosed map. <br />(4) Item f(8 ), page 9 of original application, outlines type of trees. See <br />enclosed map. <br />(a) Cottonwood, 26 trees, April 6, 1979. <br />(b) Plumb, 75 trees, April 13, 1979. <br />A wind break planting along the southwest side of the operation on recommen- <br />dation of the S.C.S. contained: <br />(a) Black walnut, 34 trees, April 6, 1979. <br />(b) Nanking Cherry, 69 trees, April 6, 1979. <br />(5) Fertilizer planting tablets were used when the trees were planted. <br />(6) The tree plantings were successful. <br />(7) No new acreage will be disturbed in the next year. The mining plan will be <br />followed. (Comparison of the enclosed map should be made with Reclamation <br />Map, Exhibit F, of our original application.) <br />(8) The Annual Report date is February 22.
