Kerr Coal has been steadily backfilling the pit until <br />this past summer when Kerr Coal Co accelerated and completed backfilling in January of this year. <br />The Marr Strip backfilling has displaced the water in the pit and has forced the water table up to the <br />reclaimed surface.
