Monitoring Reports (DMRs) are submitted to the Colorado Division of Public Health and
Environment, with a copy to the Division. These reports are included in this report by reference
(Section 2, ls` page).
A reference is made to the location of the New Upper Good Spring Creek surface monitoring site
being represented on the impoundments Map. It is not. Eazlier, the reference to thf; location is
Exhibit 2C, which is correct. Similar errors miss-reference the location of other surface and
ground water monitoring sites. The operator is asked to correct the erroneous references.
Rule 4.05.13(4)(c)(i) Water quantity data obtained from each monitoring site during the water
year;
Water quantity data was submitted by calendar year in-lieu-ofwater year (Permit, page 4.05-11).
Water quantity data is required for surface flows at the New Upper Good Spring (:reek, Lower
Good Spring Creek, and Lower Taylor Creek surface water-monitoring sites. Monitoring data is
provided in Exhibit 2A of the report. Water quantity data is submitted in Discharge Monitoring
Reports (DMR) of the sedimentation ponds. This information is submitted to the Division as
copies of the DMRs at the same frequency as they are submitted to the Colorado Department of
Public Health and Environment (quarterly). The Division reviews them upon receipt. As
mentioned above, they are included in this AHR by reference.

and
Water quality data was submitted by calendar year in-lieu-ofwater year (Permit, page 4.05-I 1).
Water quality data is required for surface flows at the New Upper Good Spring Creek, Lower
Good Spring Creek, and Lower Taylor Creek surface water-monitoring sites. This information
was submitted in Exhibit 2A of the AHR. Note that no flow was recorded in Lower Taylor Creek
in 2003 or 2004, thus no samples were taken. Water quality data is submitted in .Discharge
Monitoring Reports (DMR) of the sedimentation ponds. This information is submitted to the
Division as copies of the DMRs at the same frequency as they aze submitted to the Colorado
Department of Public Health and Environment (quarterly). The Division review<; these reports
upon receipt. They were included in the AHR by reference. Water quality data is also required for
the three monitoring wells (Gossard, North Good Spring, and A6 Wells). This information is
provided at Exhibit 2B of the AHR.
