<br />foot long, 2-inch diameter Schcdulc 40 PVC Flush joint sump and cnd cap shall be fixed <br />to the bottom cnd of the well screen. <br />The annulus of the borehole will be backfillcd as the hollow stun auger arc retracted. <br />"fhe annulus sun'ounding the well screen and sump will be backiilled with 10-20 silica <br />sand over the entire depth of the well screen. A bentonite seal will be placed above the <br />sand pack to backfill the borehole annulus to grade. Care will be exercised during <br />backfill operations to inhibit annulus backfill from entering the well casing. Drawing 3 <br />depicts the details for well construction. <br />DPI; wells do not require well development. <br />Each DPI well will be fitted with a 3/4-inch diantcrer Schcdulc 40 PVC (lush joint drop <br />wbc. "1'hc drop tube will be positioned in the DPI; well casing such that the bottom end <br />of the drop tube is no grruu the 2.0 teal below the stalk ground water Icvcl. A rubber <br />boot positioned between the drop attic and DI'L well casing will be used to seal the <br />wellhead, and susputded the drop tube in place. '1'hc rubber boot shall also allow minor <br />adjustments to position the depth of the drop tube. Stainless steel hose clamps will be <br />used to fix the ribber boot to ate well casing and drop lobe. <br />4.2 rYIECIlANICAL <br />4.2. ( Pipir:g, Fittirrgs and Valves <br />ERM shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals accessary to install the <br />piping, linings, and valves depicted in Drawing I through Drawing 3. Piping runs from <br />the vacuum manifold to the DPE wellheads shall be of 2-inch nominal diameter PVC <br />pipe, with a maximum pressure rating of no less than 100 psi. All fittings shall have a <br />maximum pressure rating of trot Icss than I50 psi.
