RECLAMATION COSTS
Henderson Mine
February 1989
Many affected areas are being revegetated, but are not ~:onsidered
totally reclaimed. Estimated costs and concomitant financial warranty for
such areas are adjusted downward as reclamation occurs and upward to cover
additional disturbed areas. Because of the continuously changing ~icreage and
status of affected land, the Board stipulated that reclamation costs be
updated every two years in conjunction with submittal of the annual report
and map. We have refined our acreage estimates, our methods, and our costs.
The estimated costs of reclaiming all anticipated disturbances through 1990
is $4.298 million.
A.
