Exhibit "L"
RECLAMATION COSTS
Operator estimates the cost of reclaiming the entire
acreage as set forth below. In calculating these costs, an
even 51 acres has been used as the basic figure for conveni-
ence, and the operator believes that is justified because ,
in fact, there are many small areas within the permitted
area which for one reason or another will never be disturbed
at all. As proposed in the original Land Design reclamation
plan, seedlings will be planted on only about one-third of
the acreage, i.e. the southern sloped area, and that propor-
tion has been applied to the entire acreage for purposes of
computing costs at this time.
Land Treatment Cost
51 acres Grass seed ($85/A) $ 4 , 335. 00
17 acres Mulch on slopes ($75/A) 1,275 . 00
51 acres Fertilizer ($50/A) 2 , 550. 00
17 acres Seedlings ($1, 100/A) 18 , 700. 00
6 , 000 linear Grading and filling 24 , 000. 00
feet ($800/200 linear ft. )
51 acres Miscellaneous labor
($100/A) 5 ,100 . 00
TOTAL COST $55, 960. 00
AVERAGE COST PER ACRE $ 1, 097 . 25
At the present time, operator estimates that approximately
30 acres of land is disturbed. Assuming that an additional
two acres (maximum) might be disturbed in 1984 and another
two in 1985, the operator would propose to bond 34 acres of
land for the next two years and amend the bond at the end of
each two-year period to reflect actual progress and projections
at that time.
