2.05.5 Pos[-minim Land Use
• The implementation of the detailed Reclamation Plan will restore disturbed land
to apre-disturbance use as irrigated hay crop as shown on the Pre-Disturbance
and Post-Disturbance Land Use Map (Map 4). This will be physically
accomplished by [he regrading of the area to create approximate original contour,
restoration of all drainage patterns to [heir original function, reapplication of
topsoil and seeding of [he area with [he appropriate seed mixture. Erosion will be
controlled on newly seeded areas [hrottgh the ttse of mulch and small contour
furrows until the revegetation has been sufficiently established., The land will
also be protected from noxious weeds and other biological processes such as
animal grazing.
The main haul road down to its intersection with the office access road will be lefr
in place [o provide access [o the property. The access road to the shop/office area
and the expanded (widened) area of the access road will also be retained. The
guardrail that was added along these roads will also be retained, except
approximately 240 feet of guardrail located south of the primary substation. This
segment of guardrail will be removed at final reclamation, as this segment of haul
road will not be retained. This area will fit well into the post mining land use of
irrigated hay crop. The expanded area may be used for hay and equipment
parking and storage or other uses related [o the post mining land use. The shop
will also be left in place. This maintenance/storage facility (40' X 80') will be
used [o support the post mining land use of irrigated hay crop. A shop of this size
is a significant asset [o a landowner. Since TCC is both [he permitee and the
• landowner, this paragraph serves as a letter from [he landowner requesting that the
above facilities be retained for future use.
2.05.6 Mrti¢ation of the Impacts of the Loadou[ Operations
Air Pollution ConVOI Plan
TCC Will maintain fugitive dust control measures as an tn[egral part of all loadottt
and reclamation activities. The principal fugitive dust control practices to be
employed by TCC will be as follows:
Roads
TCC will employ a dust suppression program for the roads at the site which
primarily will involve periodic watering dunng dry months. TCC will surface [he
main roads with gravel. The roads at
n
U
2.05-16 R
Febntary 2002, MR-19
03-31-95
/9 PPROV 60 3~5/O Z
