irrigation of off-site agricultural lands to the northeast. The herewith included Water
Information -- Exhibit G has been amended to reflect those changes.
Exhibit H -Wildlife Information
30. Colorado Division of Wildlife has been asked for wildlife statement for the site and
our evaluation thereof. We have asked that a copy of their assessment be forwarded
directly to you to save time.
Exhibit I - Soiis Information
Soils concerns have been addressed above, as stated, and answered accordingly.
The Exhibit I -Soils Informatron has been amended and is herewith included.
Exhibit L -Reclamation Costs
31. You are correct in that the worked out east portion of the site was inadvertently left
out of the reclamation cost evaluation. Since the south and west walls of that area
are essentially already back-filled and finish graded we are including only the
topsoiling and re-vegetation for those former highwalls. Cut and fill slope reduction
has been included for the west monocline portion of that area. Amended pit floor
preparation & re-vegetation costs are for the entire site.
As explained above, reject asphalt from hatching operations is utilized daily (to
forego solidification) for access road maintenance, and is not allowed to accumulate.
Stockpiling asphalt mix is not an approved site activity under the proposed permit.
Accumulation of debris is also not an approved site use. Portable crushing equipment
(including crushers, screen plants, generators, conveyors, scales, wheeled equipment,
vehicles, etc.) have substantial economic value, are not ordinarily home-based at the
site, and in our opinion not susceptible to abandonment at the site. The same goes for
produced material, the sale and removal of which faregces the need for removal
bonding
Exhibit S -Manmade Structures
County setback approval has been received. Apparently we failed to copy the second
page of the request/approval letter for our submittal. A complete copy is enclosed.
