All federal and state lands around the loadout are zoned O/S Open <br />Space. <br />A portion of the loadout facility is located on what is commonly <br />referred to as the Diamond-A Ranch. Such portion of the loadout <br />facility is hereinafter referred to as the "Diamond-A Parcel" and <br />is more particularly described as: <br />All portions of the Permit Area located north <br />and east of the center of the Roaring Fork <br />River in Township 7 South, Range 88 West, 6th <br />Prime Meridian, Section 20, Lots 10, 11, 12, <br />15 and 16, and Section 29, Lots 2, 3 and 4. <br />During 1992 the Diamond-A Parcel was rezoned to allow from the <br />Aspen Glen Planned Unit Development, a residential golf course <br />development. The Board of County Commissioners approved this <br />rezoning through its resolution No. 92-056. <br />The remaining portion of the permit area at and surrounding the <br />loadout site is zoned A/R/RD Agricultural/Residential/Rural <br />Density. The Garfield County Zoning Resolution adopted January 2, <br />1979, as amended by Resolution 81-145 dated May 12, 1981, specified <br />a permissible special use: Site for extraction processing, storage <br />and material handling of natural resources on A/R/Rd, <br />Agricultural/Residential/Rural Density. Section 3.02.07 specifies <br />• maximum height of buildings; 25 feet.
